New generations seem to spend less time exercising as they did before. Over time computer gaming got preferred more often, minimizing the amount of physical activity by only using the thumbstick or mousepad. That's why Active Esports Arena tries to make a difference. By playing with your friends, it's not only about having a great time, but also getting yourself a small work-out. The school competitions being organized also use AEA as an awareness tool, using active gaming to re-introduce students to local sports clubs.

 PWXR developed a special program using the AEC competition between schools as an awareness campaign for students to get known to the need of sports & exercise. Based on surveys, game statistics and personal advise, the student will get known to local sport offering and is willing to participate based on their succes experience playing AEA.  offered a free trail lesson, that corresponds with the game. This helps to enhance their skills and earn some extra points for their second visit, that is about setting the finale score. 

69% of the students would love to play AEA as an official sport.
20%, of the students noticed they wanted to spend more time on exercise afterwards.  
55% Would rather play games using their body instead of using a controller.

A NEW GAME GENRE TO EXPLORE: As experienced XR innovators, PWXR came with many insights. The studio created the first 6DOF standalone VR game, developed the first game using hands as controller (along with Manus VR) and started out building full body VR experiences since 2017. By connecting to the right partnersPWXR is not only about building up nice to play experiences, but also tries to contribute by proper scientific investigation on how to approach full body presence at its best.
